Handcrafted from solid American white oak. Built for everyday living and made to last for generations.
The Commission
The brief was to create a dining table that would become the centrepiece of the client's home—a place for everyday family meals, celebrations and everything in between.
A key requirement was to reuse the client's existing powder-coated steel base. Rather than replacing it, the aim was to design and build a completely new solid American white oak tabletop that would transform the piece while making full use of the original frame.
Crafted from carefully selected American white oak, the tabletop was designed with generous proportions, softened edges and a durable natural finish that highlights the beauty of the timber. Every detail was considered to create a table that feels timeless, beautifully made and built to be enjoyed for generations.

Each board was chosen to create a natural flow of grain across the full 2.2 metre tabletop, highlighting the character of solid American white oak.

The tabletop is secured using slotted fixing rails and threaded inserts, allowing the solid American white oak to move naturally with seasonal changes.
